Flag and Tackle Football

Tackle Football

MBYAA plays in the North County Football League with Blaine, Lynden, Nooksack, and Meridian. The Football league plays 11 v 11 football without kickoffs or punts.

Junior Tackle: 4th & 5th grade

Senior Tackle: 6th grade

Registration is usually on or around May 1st and practices begin in early August. Practice is 3 days a week at the field across from Mt. Baker HS (next to softball fields).

Games are September – October on Saturdays and played at schools throughout the county.

MBYAA provides each player with a helmet, shoulder pads, pants, mouth guard, socks, practice jersey, and game jersey. Players will need to provide their own football cleats.

Flag Football

MBYAA flag football plays in the North County Football League with Blaine, Lynden, Nooksack, and Meridian. The league plays 7 vs 7.

Jr. Flag Football: 1st & 2nd grade

Sr. Flag Football: 3^rd grade

Registration usually opens May 1^st.

Practices are two days a week beginning in late August at the baseball fields next to the MBHS fieldhouse.

Games are Saturdays in September and October at schools throughout the county.

MBYAA provides each player with a game jersey and flags. Players will need to provide their own football cleats, and mouth guard (Sr. flag only).

Players are taught the basic fundamentals of football, without tackling, but pulling flags.
